15. Troubleshooting & FAQ¶
A port shows "Down" in the Interfaces table even though I plugged in a cable¶
Some 10G SFP+ transceivers require the interface to be cycled (unplugged/replugged, or an interface down/up) after the transceiver is physically inserted before FreeBSD correctly detects the link. If a cable is connected and the port still shows "no carrier", try re-seating the SFP+ module.
I can't log into the console/SSH after changing my Web UI password¶
This was a known issue in earlier Web UI versions before the OS-sync fix — current builds keep console/SSH login automatically in sync with your Web UI password. If you're still on an affected version, contact support.
WAN1 shows no IP address / no internet connectivity¶
Confirm a cable is connected to the port labeled WAN1, and that your upstream device (modem/router) has DHCP enabled. If your ISP requires PPPoE or a static IP instead of DHCP, configure this from the Network page.
A blocked domain is still reachable through the Proxy¶
See the Proxy chapter — the most common causes are forgetting to click Update after Save Configuration, or an overly-broad Allow ACL rule matching before your blacklist.
